Golden oak everywhere!

A person deciding to purchase windows with woodgrain veneer has a broad selection of up to 20 colours and different structures imitating real wood to pick from. From very light to those in the shade of dark chocolate. A few examples are mahogany, nut, mountain pine, swamp oak and of course the golden oak - in Poland picked in 70% of cases. What is the reason behind that choice?

Firstly, golden oak is a very warm colour, making rooms fell more cosy and homely. It also fits most older and old-style interiors, ones with furniture not made from OSB, but from pieces of real wood. On the outside it harmonises well with brick-coloured roofs or decorative clinker. Only the brown colour is visible from the distance, the pattern and structure of rings can be appreciated only up close. Windows’ look change in dependence of warm or cold light, weather of time of day. Colour of the walls and material they were finished with also impacts the final looks of windows from the outside. Some people advise to follow the ‘golden rule’: ‘if you do not know what to pick, pick the golden oak’. However, we would suggest that, in case of modern Scandinavian-style homes, the better choice would be the light oak, mountain pine or the colour named Shogun. These are much brighter and not look as warm as the golden oak. They better fit all the shades of gray common in that style.

How not to make a blunder?

Above all, we recommend using a simple configuration tool that will assist in matching the colour of the window to the colour of the facade and the roof, available here: http://regamet.pl/zaprojektuj-swoj-dom/#dom It will be worthwhile to click the different options and check the effects. As for your own home - just got to our retail outlet and ask for a veneer sample in the colour of your choice and take it with you on your trip to buy wall paint. Also, please keep in mind that our windows do not need to be identical on both sides. You can easily order windows veneered only on a single side - white from the inside, veneered on the outside, or the other way around. You can even order a bicolour windows, with different veneers of your choice on the interior and exterior sides of the window. These options usually slightly increase the price, but we know of instances where they have saved interior decoration of a house.
